La pratique de la radiop©diatrie conventionnelle au TOGO A propos de 580 cas colliges aux CHU de LOME

RESUME

 

Objectifs :

-          d©crire les conditions techniques de r©alisation des examens conventionnels en radiop©diatrie,

-          ©valuer les diff©rents aspects techniques et pratiques des radiographies chez les enfants,

-          ©valuer la qualit© des clich©s radiographiques r©alis©s.

Mat©riels et M©thode : Etude prospective de douze (12)  mois (janvier   d©cembre 2006) aux services de la radiologie des CHU de Lom© portant sur lâobservation de 580 cas de radiographies en radiop©diatrie et lâanalyse de 984 clich©s.

Resultats: La r©alisation des radiographies en radiop©diatrie pose beaucoup de probl¨mes aux TSRIM surtout chez les enfants non coop©rants (28,43%). Les enfants de moins de 5 ans constituent la tranche dâ¢ge la plus concern©e par notre ©tude (59,31%). Une pr©dominance masculine se d©gage de notre ©tude avec une sex-ratio de 1,15. La plupart de nos patients sont adress©s par les services de p©diatrie (48,27%).  La radiographie du thorax (37,50%) et du cavum (10,93%) sont les plus r©alis©s pour cause de fr©quence ©lev©e des affections cardio-respiratoires chez les enfants. Au total 46,90% de nos patients ont b©n©fici© de la contention assur©e par leurs parents ou accompagnateurs qui ne portaient pas de tablier plomb©. De lâanalyse des clich©s, il ressort que 81,70% des clich©s pr©sentent des images de bonne qualit©, 4,26% sont accept©s malgr© leur mauvaise qualit© et 14,04% sont rejet©s surtout chez les sujets non coop©rants parce quâils pr©sentent soit une erreur dâexposition (6,08%) ou soit une image floue (7,96%).

CONCLUSION : La r©alisation des examens en radiop©diatrie pose beaucoup de probl¨mes techniques certes, mais une bonne ma®trise des techniques et une bonne connaissance en mati¨re de radioprotection permettrait de limiter le gaspillage des ressources mat©rielles et lâirradiation inutile des enfants.

 

 

SUMMARY :

Objective

-            Describe the technical conditions of realization of the conventional examinations in radiopaediatrics,

-            Estimate the various technical and practical aspects of the X-rays at the children,

-            Estimate the quality of the realized radiographic pictures.

Materials and Method : Forward-looking study of twelve ( 12 ) months (in January to December, 2006) to the services of the radiology of the CHU(TEACHING HOSPITAL) of Lom© concerning the observation of 580 cases of X-rays in radiopaediatrics and the analysis of 984 clich©s(pictures).                                           

Results: The realization of X-rays in radiopaediatrics raises many problems in the TSRIM especially at the not cooperative children (28,43 %). The children of less than 5 years establish(constitute) the age bracket the most concerned by our study (59,31 %). A male ascendancy gets free of our study with one sex-ratio of 1,15. Most of our patients are sent by the services of paediatrics (48,27 %). The radiography of the thorax (37,50 %) and of the cavum (10,93 %) are the most realized because of high frequency of the affections cardio-respiratory at the children. All in all 46,90 % of our patients benefited from the concentration assured(insured) by their relatives(parents) or guides who did not carry(wear) filled apron. Of the analysis of clich©s(pictures), it emerges that 81,70 % of clich©s(pictures) present good quality images, 4,26 % are accepted in spite of their bad quality and 14,04 % are especially rejected at the not cooperative subjects because they present either an error of exhibition(exposure) (6,08 %) or a diffuse image (7,96)is.                   

Conclusion: The realization of the examinations in radiopaediatrics raises many technical problems certainly, but a good control(master's degree) of techniques and a good knowledge in radioprotection would allow to limit the wasting of the material resources and the useless irradiation of the children.
